Forgotten Soldiers

Sullivan claims these Bush appointees actively attempted to cover up the true scale of the PTSD problem.

PAUL SULLIVAN: In 2005 I was looking at the data as part of my job and seeing that there was a tidal wave of disability claims for mental health problems among returning Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans. When I briefed the political appointees about this, one political appointee told me to "Make the numbers lower." She said, "God doesn't like ugly, you need to make the numbers lower."

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

You had zero votes, you need to give a first vote to everything. Sometimes the tracker catches me before my watchlist. See if you would give these a vote and add a comment and vote that too the tracker would find you before the AP. Didn't Ardith leave any memories behind? *smirk*

As for the story, it's just a question of how horribly despicable this criminal regime needs to be before the US Lame Stream Media reports what the whole world already knows. BTW that's firsty's term and I promised to use it often!

Many soldiers are effected by the horrors of war, when you see people slaughtered around you or your the one doing the killing. Each of us have different ways of get rid of of the horrendous sights we have seen but a few strong souls can not push these memories to the back of their minds. Wars can be cruel but the people that send soldiers to war can be cruel and calous too.

In and after World War I and II this same calousness was seen and it goes on and on. Its not just this present USA regime its all past regimes as well.

This is true especially in relation to WW1, as for the poor souls who go to war, not including the ones who fall apart at the sight of their first body, and no one knows who that will be no matter how hard they think they are, these returning troops have a lot of propaganda to face. The only cure for a returning service person is to feel remorse, If they dont or are not permitted to because of some warped patriotic idealism, then they will end up committing suicide or Police assisted suicide, or if they are a bit tougher then they will end up on drugs, including alcohol. So they must be sorry for what they have done. I have been to various theatre's around the world not in uniform but even I suffer from Piquet's syndrome.
